Less water, less Mood

About 70% of the human body consists of water, so lack of water can be harmful to the body. Water is a nutrient essential for life, all systems in the body depends on water. Described by Dr.Saptawati lack of water in the body can cause dehydration that is when the water in the body is not sufficient to perform normal work functions. Even mild dehydration will cause a disruption in the body such as the level of system performance, cognitive and mood. Results of recent studies conducted in 2010 by the hydration of the world's expert Lawrence E. Armstrong PhD and R. Harris Lieberman PhD who is an expert on neuro cognition from the United States. The study was divided into two parts. The first study involved 26 male and 25 female healthy adults with age range 20-23 years. In the study subjects were examined by performing a treadmill as much as 3 x 40 minutes at 28 C (room temperature work) and asked to complete the cognitive tests, the results of research indicate dehydration of 1.5% in men and mengngat cause difficulty concentrating, tired and tense. While women are more negatively affected by rapid dehydration that is only 1.3% dehydration can cause fatigue, irritability confusion, drowsiness, loss of concentration, dizziness and difficulty in completing tasks. This study is a great use of sophisticated technology that checks dehydration on ordinary people rather than athletes at room temperature everyday workplace. While the second study conducted on 20 healthy adult women who drink water as much as 2 to 3 liters a day, they were asked to fast for 23 hours and perform cognitive tests, study results show the same thing with the first study. Dehydration significantly causing confusion and fatigue in addition to drowsiness, headache, and disturbed emotions quickly. Even got a mild disturbance in finishing the job done everyday. Decline to 2% dehydration can affect short-term memory and ability to concentrate and learn.
